To establish and operate for educational purposed, in such manner that the facilities involved shall be as nearly self-sustaining as possible a museum for the preservation of Folk Music History, Folk Lore and the teaching of music. To establish and operate for educational purposes, Foundation Training Centers to thoroughly screen for ethics, and train in music, Folk Musicians to perform the body of music of the Foundation in live concerts/assemblies, free of charge, in the public and parochial schools across the country. To keep the body of work alive by providing sheet music, free of charge, to public and parochial schools for the celebration of Folk Music and the continued learning of History through music, perfecting the craft while promoting the enjoyment of performing music.

The Mission of the Foundation is something that is taken very seriously. It is a major part of the life's work of the Foundation individuals. The Foundation wants to expose the younger generations to Folk Music that is old-fashioned, which means that the words are very important, the songs are memorable. We, of the Foundation, sing and play music for fun. Music belongs to all of us, with zero discrimination. The Foundation also has programs which teach painlessly. The Foundation's Painless History collection of songs makes learning a bi-product; it's, first of all, entertaining and fun. Similarly, the Foundation exposes the unsuspecting audience to memorable thoughts about geography, biography, science, industry, The American Cowboy, heroes and villains, etc., leaving lasting positive thoughts about Folk Music in the minds of Foundation program participants.

The Foundation is committed to peace and social justice, and seeks to involve in its governance and operations individuals committed to these principles.
